“Four Seasons” exhibition at Savitsky Museum

Four Seasons exhibition at Savitsky MuseumOn April 5th , 2013, a new exhibition, named “Four Seasons”, has opened at the Karakalpak State Art Museum named after I. V. Savitsky.

The images of the nature, changes of seasons of the year (winter, spring, summer and autumn), the state of the day and night have been reflected in the works of artists for many centuries. The exhibition "Four Seasons» includes 59 - paintings, 27- graphics and 9 – sculptures of Russian, Uzbek and Karakalpak artists.

Four Seasons, Savitsky MuseumVisitors can view beautiful winter landscapes in which artists used mostly cool colors that convey the feeling of a frosty day’s freshness, the image of Russian winter (N.Tarasov -"Winter Morning", B. Rybchenkov -"Behind the Butyrsk gate", etc).

Savitsky MuseumM.Nedbaylo depicts the richness of summer thick verdure and trees, endless hills and ravines in his work - "Ravine in Tsaritsyno. Summer". N. Kashina’s “Pink Samarkand” shows light, bright sunrays evoking the feeling of a hot day and the light streaming from all sides.

Soft texture stroke conveys national color and spring lyricism in the art of B. Serekeev - "Spring in the garden".

Autumn landscapes that convey peace and quiet, visitors will see in the picture of I.V. Savitsky  named "Autumn".
